Privacy Policy – PagePrompt

PagePrompt is a browser extension that helps users create short prompts for AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok).

1. What the extension does

When you click a button in PagePrompt, the extension:

• Reads the URL of the current tab
• Creates a short text prompt (an instruction + the page URL)
• Either copies that prompt to your clipboard or opens an AI website

The extension only runs when you actively use it.

2. Data the extension can access

To work, PagePrompt needs permission to:

• See the URL of the page you are on (when you use the extension)
• Interact with the current tab
• Write to your clipboard (only when you choose “Copy”)
• Open new tabs for ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok

The extension has content scripts that can run on websites. These are only used to support the features above.

3. What we do not do

• We do not operate any servers
• We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information
• We do not track your browsing history
• We do not sell or share any data
• We do not use analytics or advertising trackers
• We do not send the content of web pages to any external service operated by us

Everything runs locally in your browser.

4. Third-party services

When you choose to open ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok, you leave PagePrompt and use those services directly. Their own privacy policies then apply.

5. Children’s privacy

PagePrompt is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy if the extension changes. The newest version will always be published on this page.
